Mongoose bags are all hand sewn using a range of African fabrics combined with inspiring and uniquely African designs. The fabric has been hand silk screened by a rural community of women in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. This 100% cotton fabric Alice bag is completed with vinyl trim.
Mongoose is a small design company based in South Africa. They currently employ 16 women in their factory and also work together with a group of rural printers in Kwa-Zulu, South AFrica, who create hand printed fabrics with a natural feel. Their designs and the products Mongoose creates go hand in hand. All the fabrics used are 100% natural fiber mainly cottons, linens and hemp fabrics. These fabrics are colourfast and durable to make up high quality items. Bags are neatly trimmed with all handles made from local bovine leather for strength and durability.
